Did you know there are many other exciting cities in the Middle East looking for qualified expat teachers?

At Prospero, we also work with international schools in Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia, offering teachers alternative lifestyles and cultures to explore. From the beautiful, scenic landscapes of Muscat, Oman, to the bustling shopping malls and markets of Doha, Qatar, why not consider opening your job search across the Middle East.

Doha, Qatar

Doha is the exciting, multicultural capital city of the state of Qatar. Having just been named the richest city on Earth, Doha has many attractions: from its gold plated bathrooms to pet falcons and finally being selected to host the 2020 FIFA world cup. Whilst the city is continuing to grow in humongous shopping malls and 5 star hotels, nestled among them, you will find beautiful mosques and traditional souk markets. Doha is the perfect city to live in if you love the glitz and glamour of city life but have the desire to experience other cultures and traditions.

Muscat, Oman

Being the capital city of Oman, Muscat’s biggest reputation is for its location. Situated on the Gulf of Oman and backed by the spectacular Hajar mountains, Muscat certainly is a breath of fresh air. Its culture, history and traditions are at the forefront of the city and the dazzling souk markets are a not-to-be-missed excursion. If you are looking to relocate abroad to immerse yourself in culture, Muscat is certainly the place to come!

Sur, Oman

In the northeast, on the Gulf of Oman lies the picturesque town of Sur. Sur has everything you need if you enjoy the quieter life: from traditional Dhow building, to beautiful forts, to white sandy beaches and even a turtle reserve! Sur is the perfect place to live if you like exploring: with daily trips to wadis and far into the desert. Being one of the oil hotspots of Oman, Sur is bustling with many expatriate families – you are sure to fit in here right away!

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Situated perfectly in the centre of Saudi Arabia lies its’ capital city, Riyadh, one of the wealthiest cities in the world. Riyadh’s dazzling high rise buildings and giant highways dominate the city and the deep rooted conservative Muslim traditions of Saudi Arabia are complemented by the hustle and bustle of modern city life. Being at the epicentre of Saudi Arabia’s business and financial world, Riyadh is hugely popular for expatriates and their families.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Jeddah is a portal town and lies on the coast of the Red Sea. It is a modern hub for Islamic pilgrimages to the holy lands of Mecca and Medina. During the last 30 years, the city has expanded greatly with its outskirts reaching as far as 27km from the city centre and is said to be the 100th largest city in the world by land area. Whilst being a modern city, Jeddah boasts having over 1000 traditional historical buildings still standing today – a pretty amazing feat knowing the rate of expansion which has happened!
